Songs

The Prairie Warbler sings a distinctive, rising and accelerating song with a buzzy quality, zee-zee-zee-zee-zee-zeeeee. This is known as the “A song,” and is directed at females. They also sing a “B song,” directed at neighboring males; this generally consists of several long, clear notes followed by several harsh, raspy notes.
