Adult
Virginia’s Warbler overlaps with Colima Warbler in the nonbreeding season. It is slightly smaller and grayer, lacking Colima Warbler’s brownish wash to the flanks and upperparts. Adult Virginia’s Warbler has yellow on the breast, but this is reduced (or absent) in immature birds.
